Plant 2 water outage & Boil Water Notice

Starting tomorrow morning (Friday, November 10th), service will be off at Plant 2 located off FM 438 Loop to continue repairs starting around 10am through to the evening. Service will be restored tomorrow evening  Customers are currently under a boil water notice and will continue to be until mid-next week. We apologize for the inconvenience.


Boil Water Notification

Due to repair at Plant 2, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our public water system Little Elm Valley WSC, PWS ID 0140025, to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption.  All customers are affected by this notice.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption.  The rescind notice will be issued in the same manner as this Boil Water Notice.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
