Boil Water Notice
February 19, 2021
As we begin to restore service to you, we ask you to conserve your water usage. Please store up water for consumption only and melt snow and ice for non-potable uses such as flushing toilets and watering pets/livestock. We were able to get service to customers yesterday but high usage caused us to run out of water. We understand your needs and are trying to provide service to everyone. Please remember you are under a boil water notice. Information regarding the notice is below. We appreciate your cooperation and hope to get service restored to normal soon with your help. Thank you
Boil Water Notification
Due to water outages, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our public water system Little Elm Valley WSC, PWS ID 0140025, to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption. This affects all customers.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. The rescind notice will be issued in the same manner as this Boil Water Notice.
If you have questions regarding this matter, you may contact Robert Jekel at 1-800-826-4322.
If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
