Water Outage System Wide

The artic weather is causing erratic power issues.  Power outages are affecting our ability to provide water service.  It is also preventing the wholesaler from providing service to our plants.  We are delingently working to get service restored.  We do not have an estimated time of restoration at this time. Once service is restored, we ask you to conserve water use to help the system recover.  You will also need to follow guidelines to boil water prior to consumption listed below.

Boil Water Notification

Due to power outage due to inclement weather condition, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our public water system Little Elm Valley WSC, PWS ID 0140025, to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption.  This affects all customers.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption.  The rescind notice will be issued in the same manner as this Boil Water Notice.
